Jim Scanlon
Jim Scanlon is the Broker/Owner of Scanlon Realty Management (SRM). We are conveniently located in downtown Carlsbad, California. Jim is a licensed Real Estate Broker (CalBRE #01950837) and an active member of SDAR, North San Diego County Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Jim was born and raised in San Diego and graduated with a BA in Business Management from Whittier College. After over 32 years in the Electronics Industry and based in the Silicon Valley, he migrated back to San Diego and opened his brokerage. With over 10 years of experience managing income property in this market an enviable skill set was established in the Property Management discipline.
Our connection to the area has fostered a deep respect for our military community and as a testament to that support $150 will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in the name of every new customer. MICHAEL Scanlon
Michael Scanlon is a licensed RE Agent and is the Director of Sales at Scanlon Realty Management Inc. He manages the company’s account portfolio, maintenance/renovation projects and Tenant Search Services. Michael received his Real Estate License in May of 2022 and will have his RE Broker’s license sometime in 2024 in support of the company goal of making him the lead Broker under the guidance of Jim Scanlon. He is a member of SRM’s Board of Directors and a principal in the firm.
Prior to joining Scanlon Realty Management Inc, Michael’s success started in Medical Sales, where he held the position of Regional Sales Manager for an Online Marketing Company. While in the medical field he earned a reputation for tenacity, ethics and customer satisfaction. Since his inception his leadership skills have enhanced our portfolio of contented Landlords and Tenants alike. In a short period of time he has proven to be an asset of the firm and is destined to be a leader in the RE industry.
He graduated from La Costa Canyon High School in 2014 where he excelled in the classroom and on the Football and Rugby fields earning captain status in both. He is a graduate of the Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona, where he holds a BS degree in Business Administration.
SUSAN SCANLON
Susan Scanlon was born and raised on the Island of Oahu and moved to Northern California in her late teens. She graduated from Washington High School and attended Ohlone College in Fremont, California. She met her husband Jim Scanlon while managing a multifamily development in Fremont, working as a leasing agent.
While residing in the Bay Area, she successfully owned and operated a corporate housing company for over 12 years. She sold the company to focus her efforts on raising their three sons, the youngest of which works for SRM. Once the youngest was off and running she returned to the business world selling individual and group health insurance for a local broker.
In 2011, the family moved to beautiful Carlsbad, which was a relocation for Jim as he grew up here and graduated from CHS. After the move she landed a job with a spine device company, Spinal Elements, Inc., where she worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for over 10 years. Susan joined Scanlon Realty Management, Inc. in 2022 and is a licensed Real Estate Agent. She runs the operations department at SRM and assists in maintaining the high standard of customer service that Scanlon Realty Management clientele have grown accustomed to.
